Blog 53 - Men’s Mental Health: Yes! Men have it too!
Let’s cut the stereotyping!
Men have feelings and emotions too and you should know it’s ok to show emotions even if you are a male. It’s ok to speak up about how you feel and it’s ok to ask for help. This doesn’t make you a less of a man. It shows you are strong, brave and proves you can take on anything coming your way!
When we think of strength, we think of power and physical strength. Real strength is being yourself and asking for help should you need it. It’s facing your battles and should you need help? That’s totally ok, everyone needs help. We can’t do everything alone. Sometimes we need guidance and comfort to face things.
✨ For men - Mental health is brushed under the carpet. You bottle it up because “real men don’t cry” You’re WRONG - Real men do cry, everyone cries! Both genders and because you’re following a stereotype you’re making yourself worse. Men can find joy and peace when they choose to talk, share, and look after themselves. I’m here to tell you it’s ok to make this change.
Men are less likely to speak up about their Anxiety, Depression, Stress and panic attacks and this leads to a higher rate of suicide.
✨ It’s very important to reach out and ask for help, no ones here to judge you and you will find yourself welcomed with open arms. People want to help you because they care about you. So what’s holding you back?
When both men and women open up about there mental health they will receive all the help and support possible. I’m here to help you and if you want a self help guide, my book will be here to help you step by step. Through every step of the way, you won’t be alone and you will always have someone to speak to if you open up to others. This could be your partner, family member, friend or a health care professional.
✨ It starts with breaking the silence. Let’s start this today!
✨ let’s burry the stereotype’s to the ground. The more men open up and share - The more help men will get and then no one will have to suffer in silence ever again - The more we normalise these conversations, the easier it becomes for every man to feel safe in sharing.
Remember: asking for help doesn’t make you less of a man. It makes you more human.
I hope you have a lovely day,
All the best,
