Tough Pills to Swallow (But Necessary)
Life doesn’t come with a manual. Most of what really shapes us comes from lessons we never asked for, the tough pills to swallow. The ones that sting a little. The ones we resist. The ones that, once accepted, quietly change everything. This is your gentle reminder that growth isn’t always comfortable, but it is worth it and once you have accomplished this - You can get through anything!
“You are responsible for your own life. Make It amazing”
This one can feel heavy at first. Responsibility sounds like pressure, but really, It’s freedom.
You don’t have to wait for permission. You don’t have to wait for the “right time” because it’ll never be the right time. We have to do it now!
Even on the days when your energy is low, doing one small thing for yourself is still choosing your life. Before we spoke about doing something each day you enjoy. Not a task or chore, something for you that you find fun. This is really important.
“Not everyone will like you and that’s okay”
You are not here to be palatable. You are not here to shrink so others feel comfortable. Please promise me you will always be yourself? Because your personality shines so bright 🫶🏻✨
The right people will see your heart, your softness, your strength and sparkle within. The rest? They were never meant to walk this journey with you. They are not worth your time. Be yourself anyway - Always.
“You have to help yourself or you won’t move forward”
This isn’t about doing it all alone. It’s about choosing yourself first. Asking for help. Setting boundaries. Resting when your body asks for it. Taking responsibility for your healing. No one else can do that inner work for you. And that’s not a flaw - It’s your power.
“Life is never perfect”
Waiting for perfect or my wish to come true keeps us stuck.
Progress doesn’t look pretty. Growth doesn’t look linear. It takes time and patience and that’s okay.
You’re not behind. You’re becoming.
“Your comfort zone is holding you back”
Comfort feels safe, but it rarely feels fulfilling. Growth begins the moment you gently challenge yourself, even if it’s just one step beyond familiar. You don’t have to leap. You just have to move. If you don’t break free from comfort - You won’t progress. You will stay stuck.
