Blog 63: Surround yourself with the right people
You can place one moldy strawberry in a bowl of fresh, vibrant, perfectly ripe strawberries and within days, the others start to soften. Dark spots appear. The freshness fades. Not because they were weak. Not because they weren’t good enough. But because mold spreads and fast.
Quietly, gradually, invisibly at first fruit absorbs what it’s surrounded by and so do we.
Who’s in Your Bowl?
Humans absorb energy. We mirror behaviour. We normalise what we’re repeatedly exposed to. If you spend enough time around:
- Constant negativity
- Gossip and drama
- Jealousy disguised as “banter”
- People who minimise your dreams
- People who make you feel small
- People who put you down including your dreams
- Cancelling plans which puts a halt on your schedule / meaning not getting things done. Dragging you down, keeping you at their level.
You may start noticing:
- Self-doubt creeping in
- Your confidence softening
- Your goals feeling unrealistic
- Your light dimming
- Your sparkle dimming
Not because you’re weak, but because environment and the people you spend time around matters.
Don’t let those moldy fruits ruin your life.
Don’t let them drag you down and keep you in the dark. Surround yourself with positive, encouraging. amazing people. The right crowd matters a lot. Choose your bowl wisely.

Do you need to remove any moldy fruits? Because you were never meant to rot in the wrong environment. You were meant to shine. You are a shiny fruit. You are not meant to be rotting.
Shine bright,
